extensions

I was not born with long luscious eyelashes. I am naturally blonde so require a few coats of mascara just to make them visible. Extensions are essential for me and I try to keep them in all year round.

I recently treated myself to the Blink + Go extensions at 1 Harley street. The procedure took around half an hour, We spoke about the look I want, whether its for an event or for day to day, and the colours I normally wear in both my makeup and clothes. I chose a natural look because I dont have any big events coming up (unfortunately) and it matches the way I wear my makeup.

You keep your eyes open through the whole treatment which does feel uncomfortable as your eyes water from the glue  and not being able to blink often. It is strange to see your technician working so close to your eyes but not unnerving.

You cant use any oil based make up remover with these lashes as it breaks down the glue but that is fairly common for falsies. You shouldnt wet them either for 24 hours so no spa's straight after!

The lashes did irritate my eyes after a few days and a few did fall out within the first few days but this is normal and to be expected. It didnt leave any obvious gaps and looked fine.

The lashes last 10 days and you are supposed to get them removed at the salon you had them applied in. I didnt have the chance to go back but the best thing to do is to get an oil based makeup remover, soak a cotton pad and hold it onto the eye to dissolve the glue. You then gently slide them off with the pad.
